Finance Controller (European MNC)

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Financial Controller to lead the India finance function, ensuring robust financial governance, statutory compliance, and high-quality reporting while partnering closely with senior stakeholders across India, regional, and global leadership teams. Its a high visibility role reporting into the India CFO.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
• Manage and liaise with statutory auditors to ensure clean and timely audit closure
• Lead end-to-end accounting operations including general ledger, AR, AP, and financial controls
• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards (Ind AS / IFRS / GAAP) and statutory regulations
• Strengthen internal controls, governance frameworks, and risk management processes
• Manage cash flow, liquidity planning, and banking relationships
• Align India finance processes with global standards while developing robust local SOPs
• Drive ERP discipline (SAP mandatory), process automation, and continuous system improvements
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team, building strong second-line capability

Requirements

• Chartered Accountant (mandatory)
• 10+ years of experience in finance and accounting, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
• Strong experience in multinational or matrixed environments
• Proven ability to manage senior stakeholders across India, regional, and global teams
• SAP experience is mandatory
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and reporting standards (Ind AS / IFRS / GAAP)
