Job Description

The Finance Client LFO and Analytics team is responsible for driving the reporting of client efficiency across Citigroup.  The team concentrates on developing effective measures of client return on capital, which is a key area of focus for Citi Executive Management Team in the current environment. Covering all of Citi, this is a global function that advises Citi’s leadership on the effective distribution and utilization of capital by client.

We hiring a Director in our office in Mumbai to run our Coverage team and operate as the local site lead. In this role, you will be part of a fast-paced team-oriented meritocracy where everyone has a voice and your ideas could have a powerful, immediate impact. This position offers a significant amount of responsibility, with an opportunity to develop custom strategies on behalf of the team.

Team members are involved in business advisory and in translating data into meaningful analysis that is critical in driving actions in various areas of the firm.  Team members continuously learn new products, systems and business practices as they analyze business strategy and respond to changing client needs, developing product knowledge across Citi (including Banking, Services and Markets) and working in a rewarding, creative and dynamic environment.

The Finance Client Coverage team manager is a Director level position under the Citigroup wide Client Analytics & Lead Finance Officer team. This teams priorities are, enhancing the client management dimension across Citi, delivering timely and accurate client financials, and providing insight into client segment performance. This role is responsible for defining, building, and distributing client financials to the firms’ stakeholders and will work closely with the business teams and finance partners to create a single truth of client financials across the firm.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team in creating content for the business leadership teams

  • Deliver both ongoing and ad hoc analysis including client metrics for quarterly and monthly business reviews to driven client decisions

  • Provide analytics on scorecards and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Digitize data in visualization tools to allow self-service of standard financial content

  • Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) on topics for definitions of standard client financials

  • Implement financial initiatives and manage work of the department ensuring appropriate staffing and organizational structures are in place

  • Partner with the product teams to improve efficiency, effectiveness, productivity, and/or controls

  • Support creation of new Client Data Governance forum and ensure current and future data policies and governance principles are followed

  • Manage and direct individuals within the infrastructure area through relevant direct reports with a focus on improving process and tools

  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.

As a successful candidate, you’d ideally have the following skills and exposure:

  • 15 years of relevant experience

  • 10 years of managerial experience

  • Experience in financial services

  • Demonstrated finance knowledge with the ability to drive top down strategic and operational plans

  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication

  • Ability to build and maintain relationships and interact at all levels of an organization

  • Demonstrated leadership skills

  • Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills

  • Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience

  • Master’s degree preferred
