Infrastructure CFO
 

As part of the Infrastructure CFO organisation you will partner with key stakeholders providing insight into the drivers of the cost base through; targeted analytics and reporting, cost transparency and future view projections (forecast and plan) - the successful candidate will have responsibility as FD for TDI – CTB and RTB (GTI, CSO, CDO, Group Architecture and Chief Strategy Office) in providing transparency on overall Provider Costs and client allocations towards business divisions.

You will be primarily responsible for managing financials for the division including functions like month-end compilation, prediction, commentary, forecasting, quarterly software Balance Sheet substantiation and budgeting, requiring a strong knowledge of key finance processes and stakeholder management skills.
 

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Being a strategic CFO with an Independent view with own decisions and influencing the decision making of responsible senior stakeholders of the above mentioned TDI divisions

  • Partner with stakeholders on developing and delivering the strategy and achieving the cost and FTE targets

  • Financial advisory on global cost base with deep dive analysis and derive risks/ opportunities re financial performance

  • Financial Analysis - Financial Accounting month-end processes including forecasts, review of normalization and cost analysis, monitoring aged accruals.

  • Planning - working with the business to compile future year demand; produce exit rate prediction, compile growth expectations/requests.

  • Balance Sheet substantiation – performing quarterly reviews of Software Net Book Values, Application Useful Economic Life and Impairment analysis and attestation, including performing disclosure controls

  • Restructure and Restatement - devise cost center structure with business input; account for headcount moves, confirm and calculate where necessary plan/actuals transfer values to and from the business, approve transfer in conjunction with business.

  • Manage the Annual Planning process and ensure Plan Financials adhere to Business Strategy and organizational goals for future years.

  • Preparation of monthly financial packs & presentation of financials in Monthly Review meetings including PRMs

  • Implementation of improvements to the packs & further cost deep dives based on feedback from Stakeholders/Management.

  • Coordination with multiple stakeholders including CIO, COOs and Central Finance teams.

  • Business Case – Build in collaboration with the business and challenge to ensure commercially sound cases are presented, validated and subsequently tracked.

  • Represent function in Tech leadership forums.

  • Supporting the cost allocation review monthly (cost amendments, allocation key changes) and ensuring follow through and completion.
     

Experience:

  • Qualified person (ACA or Tier I MBA) with 10-15 years of post-qualification experience

  • Strong knowledge of internal Finance process and systems (ideally within DB)

  • Strong knowledge of Technology Financials, capitalization, Software capitalization, impairment, transfer pricing aspects etc

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications i.e. Excel, Word, Power-point

  • High attention to detail, and analytical focus

  • Strong presentation skills

  • Strong Accounting Knowledge

  • Management of high performing teams in a fast-moving environment

  • Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to develop and maintain internal relationships

  • Flexible and pro-active with a solution focused work style

  • Balance out different needs from senior stakeholders

  • Ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment, prioritizes multiple tasks, and meets strict deadlines.
