Key job responsibilities
Amazon seeks Financial Analyst I to support our Global Real Estate and Facilities team for ANZ region.
Role is primarily responsible for financial analysis and reporting, supporting monthly financial close activities, preparation of annual budgeting and forecasting processes, and controllership.
Partner with multiple stakeholders to provide timely analysis, insightful guidance, and financial leadership to organization.
Financial Analyst will also lead variance analysis for monthly/quarterly business reviews as well as execute ad
- hoc projects, business analysis, financial modeling as needed.
A day in the life
• Review and consolidation of Accrual ageing and publishing.
• Review and finalize budget forecasting for OP and R&O and analyze and update commentary for variances
• Creation of month end commentary and convert it to the SQL review file for WD3 and prep for review call
• PO creation / Amendment review
• Capex Retention Invoice analysis and payment updates
• Corrigo check and amortization postings in month end and co
- ordination with FM team
• Address and guide on adhoc financial inquiries or issues from team members & stakeholders
Basic Qualifications
- 1+ years of finance experience
- 2+ years of Accounts Receivable or Account Payable experience
- 2+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
- Experience using data to influence business decisions
- Experience in corporate finance including budgeting/planning, forecasting and reporting
- Bachelor in Commerce Graduation, or equivalent with 8+ or more years of experience / Post graduation experience equivalent with 5+ years in FP&A, closing of Books of accounts and reporting & analytics.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with large
- scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)

- Experience in managing, evaluating, analyzing data quickly and creating meaningful business reporting.

- Good in managing competing priorities and meet deadlines.

- Excellent interpersonal skills — including written and oral communication skills.
