Field Service Technician Recruiter
Position summary:
We are seeking a proactive, results-driven Field Recruiter to own fullcycle hiring for Field Service Technicians who repair, maintain and commission fueling equipment (fuel dispensers, pumps, ATG systems, leak detection, meters, dispenser electronics, hoses, filtration, etc.). The role requires building a strong pipeline across metro and non-metro locations, assessing technical fit through structured screening and practical assessments, coordinating onsite evaluations with operations, and delivering hires that meet client SLAs for service quality and uptime.
Key responsibilities:
- End-to-end recruitment for Field Service Technician roles: sourcing, screening, interviewing, technical/practical assessment coordination, offer management and onboarding.
- Proactively source candidates across job boards, LinkedIn, Nakuri, WhatsApp/Telegram groups, employee referrals
- Conduct phone and in-person screens to evaluate mechanical/electrical/instrumentation skills and fueling-industry experience; coordinate hands-on assessments with operations.
- Schedule and manage candidate logistics for site visits and client interviews; ensure timely communication and strong candidate experience.
- Maintain and update ATS/tracker with accurate candidate records and metrics; deliver regular hiring reports to stakeholders.
- Conduct reference checks, verify employment/certifications/IDs and coordinate background checks and pre-employment medicals as required.
- Work closely with operations and clients to define role requirements, pay bands, location details and onboarding requirements.
- Track recruitment KPIs (time-to-fill, offer acceptance rate, first-90-day retention, source effectiveness) and drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of full-cycle recruitment experience (sourcing, screening, interviewing, offer-to-hire) ideally with exposure to technical or field roles.
- Bachelors degree, or diploma/ITI with demonstrable recruiting experience for practical roles.
- Demonstrated experience recruiting for mechanical/electrical/instrumentation or field service technician positions.
- Proven sourcing skills across Indian channels (Naukri, LinkedIn, referrals, trade institutes, local networks, WhatsApp/Telegram groups).
- Ability to evaluate technical competency via structured interviews and coordination of practical/skills tests.
- Proficiency using an ATS and common sourcing tools (LinkedIn Recruiter, Boolean searches); comfortable maintaining hiring data and reports.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and proficiency in at least one local language relevant to hiring geography (e.g., Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Marathi, Bengali).
- Experience conducting candidate verification, reference checks and coordinating background checks.
- Comfortable with frequent regional travel and onsite candidate assessments; ability to coordinate logistics.
- Strong stakeholder management, negotiation, offer-closing skills and a data-driven approach to recruitment metrics.
Preferred qualifications:
- Agency recruitment experience preferred.
- Prior field service recruitment experience preferred.
- Experience recruiting for the fueling, oil & gas, retail fuel operator, or related equipment service sectors.
- Experience organizing or conducting hands-on trade/skills assessments or working with training partners and technical institutes.
- Familiarity with industry safety requirements and certifications (site induction, PPE, basic ATEX/IECEx awareness) and regulatory considerations for fuel sites.
- Established network of technicians, mechanics, vocational schools and local hiring partners in target regions.
