Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Fashion Design Associate at anush pirani. We are looking for a highly committed individual, someone who can creatively strategize/execute anush pirani's design sensibility. This role is responsible for managing the entire design process from research & concept development to sampling and production keeping in mind our brand and its unique aesthetic. The right candidate should have command of best practices in fashion illustration, textile development and management and experience with slow fashion brands.
Location:Mumbai (Candidates must be based inSouth Bombay or the Prabhadevi vicinity)
Work Type:Full-time,Work From Studio only(No Work From Home)
Experience Required:2 years in a similar field
Key Responsibilities
- Design Development: Collaborating on mood boards, sketches, and fabric selection for upcoming collections.
- Trend Research: Staying updated with fashion trends, textiles, and design innovations.
- Technical Assistance: Supporting the design process from initial concept to final product, including creating tech packs, specs, and coordinating with production teams.
- Sample Management: Overseeing sample production and fittings to ensure design accuracy.
- Creative Collaboration: Working closely with the marketing and social media teams to align the design vision with brand messaging.
- Fabric & Material Selection: Source, evaluate, and select fabrics, trims, and other materials for collections. Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to ensure quality, availability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Administrative Support: Organize design files, manage design archives, and maintain up-to-date records of design projects. Coordinate schedules and timelines for design and production processes.
- Quality Control & Production Oversight: Monitor production to ensure designs are executed to the highest standard, meeting brand expectations for quality and fit. Troubleshoot production challenges and offer design modifications when needed.
Qualifications
- Discipline and time management skills
- A creative individual with a passion for fashion design, styling and an eye for detail
- Graphic design skills
- Proficient in design softwares like Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign
- Familiar with different textiles, patterns, and garment construction and sewing skills
- A team player who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
- Up-to-date with current fashion trends and industry standards
- Experience in creating and developing fashion collections
- Strong attention to detail and creative flair
- Degree in Fashion Design or related field is preferred
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
