The Factory HR Executive is responsible for managing factory manpower, attendance, labour compliance, payroll coordination, discipline, and worker welfare, ensuring smooth production operations and statutory compliance.

Key Responsibilities1. Manpower & Attendance Management

  • Maintain daily attendance (biometric / muster roll)
  • Manage shift allocation, weekly offs, and overtime
  • Control absenteeism and arrange replacements
  • Maintain complete employee & contract labour records

2. Recruitment & Onboarding (Factory Staff)

  • Recruit factory-level manpower:
  • Fabricators
  • Machine operators
  • Helpers
  • Loaders / installers
  • Handle joining formalities:
  • Aadhaar, bank details, ID proofs
  • PF & ESI enrollment
  • Conduct factory induction:
  • Safety rules
  • Discipline & reporting structure

3. Labour Law & Statutory Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with:
  • PF & ESI
  • Minimum Wages Act
  • Factory Act
  • Contract Labour Act
  • Maintain statutory registers
  • Handle labour inspections & audits
  • Coordinate with labour contractors

4. Payroll & Wage Coordination

  • Prepare:
  • Monthly attendance sheets
  • Overtime calculations
  • Wage summaries
  • Coordinate with Accounts for:
  • Salary processing
  • Contractor bills
  • Monitor labour cost vs productivity

5. Discipline & Employee Relations

  • Enforce factory discipline & punctuality
  • Handle worker grievances & conflicts
  • Issue warnings / notices when required
  • Support supervisors in manpower discipline

6. Safety & Welfare

  • Ensure usage of safety equipment
  • Maintain accident & incident records
  • Coordinate safety training & briefings
  • Handle medical emergencies
  • Ensure basic worker welfare facilities

7. Coordination & Reporting

  • Daily coordination with:
  • Production
  • Operations
  • Stores & Logistics
  • Prepare and submit:
  • Daily attendance report
  • Monthly HR & compliance reports
  • Labour productivity data

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Attendance percentage (>95%)
  • Labour cost control
  • Overtime optimization
  • Compliance audit score
  • Attrition rate
  • Safety incident reduction

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of factory HR operations
  • Good understanding of Indian labour laws
  • Ability to handle blue-collar workforce
  • Discipline enforcement & conflict handling
  • Documentation & reporting skills
  • Coordination with multiple departments

Preferred Experience

  • 25 years experience in Factory / Industrial HR
  • Experience in manufacturing or fabrication units preferred

Working Conditions

  • Factory-based role
  • May require extended hours during production peaks
  • Hands-on involvement with shop-floor workforce
