Job Description :  

The Facility Executive, Technical Services is responsible for managing and optimizing the technical operations and maintenance of building systems across assigned facilities. This role ensures optimal performance of all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and other technical building systems while focusing on energy efficiency, sustainability, and occupant comfort. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Oversee the day-to-day technical operations and preventive maintenance programs for building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire/life safety, and building automation systems 

  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules and protocols to maximize equipment lifespan and efficiency 

  • Manage and coordinate activities of technical service vendors, contractors, and in-house technical teams 

  • Analyze building system performance data and implement strategies to optimize energy consumption and reduce operational costs 

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes, standards, and regulations 

  • Lead technical aspects of capital improvement projects and equipment replacement initiatives 

  • Develop and maintain emergency response protocols for technical system failures 

  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of all building systems, warranties, and maintenance records 

  • Participate in budget planning for technical operations and capital expenditures 

  • Identify opportunities for technological upgrades that improve building performance and sustainability 

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, facilities management, or related technical field/ITI/Diploma 

  • 3+ years of progressive experience in facilities management with focus on technical building systems 

  • Strong knowledge of building automation systems, mechanical systems, and energy management 

  • Experience with project management and vendor oversight 

  • Professional certifications such as Certified Facility Manager (CFM), Professional Engineer (PE), or similar credentials preferred 

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze technical data and implement process improvements 

  • Strong problem-solving skills with ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues 

  • Excellent communication and leadership skills 

Skills & Competencies 

  • Thorough understanding of building systems and their interdependencies 

  • Knowledge of energy conservation methods and sustainability best practices 

  • Experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) 

  • Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret technical data and reports 

  • Excellent project management and organizational abilities 

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders 

  • Effective leadership and team management capabilities
