Job Overview :

We are looking for a Facility Manager to manage and oversee end-to-end facility operations for Gurukulam Schools. The role requires hands-on experience in managing school or college infrastructure, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, safety, hygiene, and compliance across campuses.

Key Responsibilities

Manage overall facility operations including buildings, classrooms, hostels, utilities, and common areas.

Ensure maintenance, repair, and upkeep of infrastructure (electrical, plumbing, civil, HVAC, etc.).

Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and service providers for housekeeping, security, transport, and maintenance work.

Ensure safety, hygiene, and compliance as per school/education norms and internal policies.

Monitor facility budgets, control costs, and ensure optimal resource utilization

Conduct regular audits and inspections of campus facilities and close gaps proactively.

Act as a single point of contact between school administration, operations, and external vendors.

Handle emergency situations efficiently and ensure minimal disruption to academic activities.

Support new campus setup, expansion, and operational readiness as required.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

Minimum 2+ years of experience in facility management for schools, colleges, or educational institutions.

Strong knowledge of infrastructure maintenance, vendor management, and compliance.

Good coordination and problem-solving skills.

Ability to handle multiple locations and travel if required.

Comfortable working in fast-paced academic environments.

Basic knowledge of safety standards, hygiene protocols, and facility audits.

Preferred Profile :

Experience in residential schools / hostels / large campuses is a plus.

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Ability to manage operations independently with minimal supervision.
