Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Facilities Engineer to join our IND-CIPL-DFM -Master Prod Schd-Global Financial services Division

The preference for this role is to be based out of Chennai - Brigade World Trade Center

Job Summary:

 Job Roles and Responsibilities

  • Manage the global Facilities Teams located in Chennai
  • Build relationships and create engagement with business unit stakeholders, landlords and with vendors/contractors
  • Manages all matters relating to GFM operations, risk, and compliance.
  • Responsible for the GFM team and contractors regarding their delivery of service.
  • Ensure scheduled maintenance program is in place with IFM service provider(s).
  • Monitor and manages GFM contractor works and activities, to ensure all works are satisfactorily and safely completed to minimise disruption to business operations.
  • Lead the procurement of facility services (Building Maintenance, Janitorial, Security, Food) and contracts for sites under GFM management, in accordance with company procurement guidelines.
  • Foster environmentally friendly practices and behaviours to support our sustainability strategy.
  • Forecast and manage operating and capital budgets.
  • Support Corporate Real Estate team to manage new and existing facility leases.
  • Oversee Emergency Management Process in line with corporate security guidelines
  • Support EHS in line with corporate guidelines and ensure adherence to local statutory requirements.
  • Manage capital project plans including estimates of critical path, budget and resources needed for target completion.
  • Manage office fit out projects along with AV, Access control system, FAPA, LMS & BMS systems.

What you will have 

  • Experience in facilities management or demonstrated success with managing large complex operations or projects
  • Extensive knowledge in Core electrical maintenance, HVAC systems & MEP systems
  • Experience in a project management
  • Experience in training or developing others
  • University degree in related discipline, professional training in facilities management techniques as well as and leading and facilitating meetings is highly desired.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills are required to deal with sensitive issues, develop others, or influence others inside and outside the organization.
  • Strong team leadership skills, excellent communication skills, strong consulting skills, ability to multitask effectively, strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Must have the ability to travel both domestic and internationally.
  • 5 days Work from Office.

Construction Engineering and Technology: Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology to the construction industry; ability to apply principles, techniques, procedures and equipment for a specific branch of engineering to the design and production of various goods and services.

• Describes main technologies and tools used in engineering and technology.
• Identifies key concepts, features and methods of engineering and technology in construction.
• Identifies key issues and engineering standards re engineering and technology.
• Cites industry examples and principles of engineering and technology.

Engineering - MFG: Knowledge of processes, techniques and methods of engineering in a manufacturing environment; ability to design and implement materials, structures, machines, devices, systems and processes that safely realize a desired objective or invention.
Level Working Knowledge:
• Assists in problem resolution, drafting and writing specifications for engineering practices.
• Works with basic, routine components of the engineering discipline in manufacturing.
• Performs basic installation, maintenance and repairs for a specific engineering function.
• Follows relevant standards, policies and practices in engineering operations.
• Reports unusual engineering issues and considerations regarding manufacturing operations to senior staff.

Manufacturing Standards, Procedures and Policies: Knowledge of organizational standards, procedures and policies in manufacturing activities; ability to plan, guide, and monitor manufacturing processes for compliance.
Level Working Knowledge:
• Contributes to the development and implementation of specific manufacturing procedures.
• Investigates the need to refer potential exceptions upward for review and approval.
• Explains the rationale for procedures and standards in own area of responsibility.
• Participates in the implementation of manufacturing standards and procedures to one's own function.
• Provides feedback for improvement of procedures.

Plant Facilities Management: Knowledge of processes, methodologies and techniques used to manage plant facilities; ability to handle the full spectrum of activities for managing and maintaining physical facilities and infrastructure.
Level Working Knowledge:
• Performs the installation and maintenance of such items as plant's electric, air conditioning, telephone and cabling infrastructure.
• Interprets facilities-related reports and explains record-keeping requirements.
• Works with addressing basic physical requirements of a manufacturing plant.
• Follows access and security control procedures and equipment.
• Assesses potential security or safety risks and notifies appropriate team members.
