Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Facilities Engineer to join IND-CIPL-DFM -Master Prod Schd -Global Finance Services Division.
The Incumbent would Perform EHS, Facility Security Management and manage Repair & Maintenance spends, Facility and infrastructure support activities needed in an office space.
The preference for this role is to be based out of Chennai - Brigade World Trade Center
What you will do
To provide leadership, mentoring and direction to hourly, salaried and management personnel engaged in Environmental, Health, and/or Safety (EHS) activities and Facility Security Management related to a small to medium facility.
Responsibilities
- Identifies common safety/health/environmental hazards inherent in the organization's operations and establishes guidelines for protection from those hazards.
- Ensures EHS training is completed to comply with regulatory requirements or in support of facility, division, or enterprise objectives.
- Audits safety/health/environmental programs for compliance with company standards, government regulations, and adequacy relative to local conditions.
- Monitors periodic performance reports for trends and conditions, alerts line management to problems and makes recommendations for improvement.
- Facility Security Managers (FSMs) must be aware and knowledgeable of the expectations placed on them.
- They must also be aware of and comply with Caterpillar’s Risk Based Security Program (RBSP), Enterprise Security Procedures and the Enterprise Policy for Protection of Assets.
- Maintain a working knowledge of the various Caterpillar personnel policies, facility policies and security programs.
- Complete all job role learning as set forth by Caterpillar’s Required Learning.
- The primary interest of business leaders is to prevent losses and keep employees safe so that business can thrive even in high-risk conditions.
What you will have
- Experience in facilities management or demonstrated success with managing large complex operations or projects
- University degree in related discipline, professional training in facilities management techniques as well as and leading and facilitating meetings is highly desired.
- Excellent interpersonal skills are required to deal with sensitive issues, develop others, or influence others inside and outside the organization.
- Strong team leadership skills, excellent communication skills, strong consulting skills, ability to multitask effectively, strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Must have the ability to travel both domestic and internationally.
- Experience in facilities management or demonstrated success with managing large complex operations or projects
Additional Information:
- This position requires the selected candidate to work Full -Time in the Chennai - Brigade World Trade Center office.
- This position requires candidate to work a 5-day -a -week schedule in the office
