EY GDS – Data and Analytics (D&A) – Data Modeller Senior

We’re looking for candidates with strong technology and data understanding in data modelling space, having proven delivery capability. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a leading firm as well as a part of a growing Data and Analytics team

Your key responsibilities

• Employ tools and techniques used to understand and analyze how to collect, update, store and exchange data
• Define and employ data modeling and design standards, tools, best practices, and related development methodologies.
• Designs, reviews and maintains data models
• Performs the data analysis activities to capture data requirements and represent them in data models visualization
• Manages the life cycle of the data model from requirements to design to implementation to maintenance
• Work closely with the data engineers to create optimal physical data models of datasets.
• Identify areas where data can be used to improve business activities

Skills and attributes for success

• Overall Experience of 3-7 years

•  Own and Lead Data Modeling Activities.
• Evaluate data model based on existing systems.
• Apply organization and industry standards to the models.
• Discuss and document data modeling requirements with cross functional teams and business owners.
• Analyze requirements and provide data model along with source-target mapping.
• .Manage end to end data model development and provide support to all teams.
• Work with Business SMEs and Product owners to get the requirements.
• .Capture Data mapping, data transformation and business rules logic using source to target mapping.
• Able to understand and translate business need to data models supporting long-term solutions.
• Able to create conceptual and logical data models based on business and functional requirements.
• Good understanding of ER and dimensional data modeling
• Should have implemented physical data models for a variety of RDBMS and cloud hosted databases.
• Strong SQL and analytical skill
• Master (Expert) in Visual Paradigm/Erwin data modeling tool.
• .Good communication skill.Ability to influence all stakeholders and end consumers.
• .Exposure to multiple cloud data platform

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent job experience
• 3+ years of experience in software development
• 3+ years of experience architecting distributed systems
