Exterior Engineer
Job Location: Chennai
Experience: 5-10 yrs
Job Description / Roles & Responsibilities :
- Good knowledge on CAD (New PDM)
- Design and develop automotive bumper systems using CATIA V5 .
- Domain : Plastics.
- Create 3D models, assemblies, and detailed drawings for plastic components.
- Ensure designs meet regulatory, safety, and performance requirements.
- Optimize designs for manufacturability, cost, and weight.
- Support prototype development and validation testing.
- Maintain design documentation and BOMs.
- 510 years of experience in automotive plastic part design, preferably bumper systems.
- Proficiency in CATIA V5 (Part Design, Surface Design, Assembly Design).
- Knowledge of injection molding and tooling considerations.
- Familiarity with GD&T, DFMEA, DFM/DFA principles.
