We are currently seeking a high performing Experienced Automation Engineer to join our team.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated systems and processes to enhance operational efficiency. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify automation opportunities and implement solutions that streamline workflows.

This role will be based out of Bangalore, India.

Position Responsibilities: 

•    Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the QA team, providing guidance, support, and training to ensure high performance and professional development.
•    Test Strategy Development: Develop and implement comprehensive test strategies and plans that align with project requirements and timelines.
•    Test Planning: Create detailed test plans that outline the scope, approach, resources, and schedule for testing activities.
•    Test Case Design: Oversee the design and development of test cases, ensuring they are comprehensive, clear, and aligned with requirements.
•    Automation Strategy: Define and implement automation testing strategies, selecting appropriate tools and frameworks to improve testing efficiency.
•    Test Execution: Coordinate and oversee the execution of manual and automated tests, ensuring that testing is conducted thoroughly and systematically.
•    Defect Management: Manage the defect lifecycle, including defect identification, reporting, tracking, and verification, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
•    Collaboration with Development Teams: Work closely with development teams to understand application functionality, provide feedback, and ensure quality throughout the development process.
•    Performance Monitoring: Monitor and report on testing progress, results, and quality metrics to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and accountability.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): 
 

•    Test Automation Tools: Experience with test automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, TestNG, JUnit, or similar frameworks for automating web application testing.
•    Programming Languages: Knowledge of programming languages commonly used in test automation, such as Java, Python, JavaScript, or C#.
•    Web Technologies: Understanding of web technologies, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like React, Angular etc to effectively test web applications.
•    Database Testing: Understanding of database concepts and experience with SQL for validating data integrity and performing backend testing.
•    Cross-Browser Testing: Knowledge of cross-browser testing tools (e.g., BrowserStack, Sauce Labs) to ensure web applications function correctly across different browsers and devices.
•    Mobile Testing: Familiarity with mobile testing tools (e.g., Appium, Espresso) if the web application has a mobile component.
•     Good Understanding of BDD, TDD methodologies and tools like Cucumber, TestNG, Junit or similar. 
•    Experience in defining API E2E testing strategy, designing and development of API automation framework 
•    Performance testing using tools like JMeter, Load Runner etc.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience ) :
 

•    Knowledge of Architectural and REST principles
•    Exposure to unit testing/UI automation will be a plus
•    DevOps (Bamboo build and test)
o    Bamboo system and infrastructure
o    Bash and power shell scripting
•    Proficient in Agile Methodologies (eg. Scrum, Kanban)
•    Experience in Data structures, algorithms and Design Patterns.
•    Implement Fastlane for iOS development and release in Bamboo build plans
•    Core Java concepts, including object-oriented programming (OOP), data types, control structures, exception handling, and collections.
•    Understanding of web services, including RESTful APIs and SOAP, and experience in creating and consuming them.
•    Java Frameworks such as Spring (including Spring Boot), Hibernate for building enterprise applications.

Typical Education & Experience:

•    Typically, 8-12 years related work experience or Relevant military experience. advanced degree (eg. Bachelor,Master, etc), preferred, but not required.
