About the Role:

Are you passionate about storytelling, communication, and building a positive workplace culture? As part of the Internal Communications & Employee Engagement team at Sakon, you will play a key role in keeping employees informed, connected, and engaged. This role supports internal communication initiatives and employee engagement programs, including ERGs, events, and culture campaigns. You will collaborate closely with Communications, HR, ERG champions, designers, and external partners to create meaningful employee experiences across the organization.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute internal communications by drafting, reviewing, and publishing employee-facing content (emails, newsletters, intranet, Teams posts, presentations) with high accuracy and consistent tone.
  • Support ERG and employee engagement initiatives by planning, coordinating, and executing events and campaigns in collaboration with ERG champions and HR SPOCs.
  • Manage engagement and communication calendars to ensure timely execution of ERG activities, campaigns, and HR communications.
  • Coordinate with vendors, consultants, and designers for communication assets, creative designs, event logistics, and follow-ups, ensuring on-time delivery.
  • Design and promote engagement campaigns and events, contributing creative ideas for ERG programs and internal communication initiatives.
  • Maintain trackers, documentation, and SharePoint repositories for ERG, communications, attendance, budgets, and governance with high accuracy.
  • Collect, analyze, and report feedback and engagement metrics to assess effectiveness of communications and events.
  • Prepare basic reports, presentations, and updates for leadership, ERG reviews, and internal stakeholders.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Communications, Journalism, Media Studies, Event Management, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • 12 years of experience in internal communications, employee engagement, marketing, or a related role; experience in a fast-paced or tech environment is a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to review content for grammar, clarity, tone, and brand alignment.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate events, manage multiple tasks, timelines, and stakeholders with strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Creative, proactive, and enthusiastic about storytelling, culture building, employee engagement, and workplace initiatives.
  • Comfortable working with vendors, consultants, designers, and internal teams; proficient in MS Office with basic knowledge of design tools (Canva/Adobe) preferred.
