Job Description

  •  Key Roles & Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead the sales capability roadmap aligned with business goals and evolving market dynamics.
  • Enable sustainable sales performance by improving frontline productivity levers, strengthening early tenure effectiveness, and building a skillbased, high-retention sales force.
  • Designing for a sustainable sales ecosystem that naturally enables sales rhythms, processes, and enablement to evolve organically.
  • Conduct Skill Gap Analysis to identify sales skill gaps therefore, design and implement level-wise skill-based frameworks to ensure structured skill development across different sales roles 
  • Build and institutionalize a competency model to assess, develop, and benchmark sales Talent.
  • Lead the Sales Academy and ensure structured learning journey by role and level.
  • Curate and embed proven industry best practices into learning modules to enhance adoption, effectiveness, and alignment with market-leading sales behaviors.
  • Integrate field coaching models and ensure front line managers act as a coach.
  • Partner with sales HR, business heads, Sales academy to drive a continuous learning culture.
  • Act as a strategic partner to sales leadership, ensuring capability-building initiatives align with revenue and business growth targets
  • Measure impact on productivity using data analytics and recommend interventions to improve efficiency across sales channels
  • Establish an onboarding and fast-track development program for new hires to ensure quicker ramp-up to productivity.

Key Requirements – Education & Certification

  • MBA or equivalent degree in Sales, Marketing, HR, or a related field.

Key Requirements – Experience & Skills

  • 20+ years of experience in Sales, capability development, or sales operations, preferably in the General Insurance, BFSI, or FMCG sector.
  • Strong understanding of sales processes, salesforce effectiveness strategies, and productivity metrics.
  • Expertise in competency framework design, training methodologies, and leadership development.
  • Data-driven approach to decision-making with proficiency in sales analytics tools.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Change management and digital mindset.
