Industrial Engineer Responsibilities
- Reviewing production schedules, processes, specifications, and related information.
- MBOM generation hands on experience
- ERP application knowledge
- Designing production processes that maximize efficiency and reduce waste.
- Developing and implementing process improvements and technological upgrades.
- Designing control systems to minimize costs and production issues.
- Developing design and production standards in cooperation with management and user personnel.
- Preparing material and equipment lists, cost analyses, and estimated production costs.
- Designing the layout of facilities and determining personnel requirements.
- Training staff for new processes and providing instructions and manuals.
- Managing process documentation.
- Implements controls to monitor costs and minimize production issues.
- Lean transformation.
- Workstation Line Balancing and Operator work balancing.
- Technology transfer and Bench Marking
- Troubleshoot and implement corrective actions on a timely basis.
- Assess the manpower that will be required to make the product.
- Continues Improvement Projects Like, Cycle time reduction, Productivity Improvement, OPS, Ergonomic Improvements, Quality Improvement etc.
- Apply statistical process control methods for analysing data to evaluate process.
Industrial Engineer Requirements:
- Knowledge of production machinery, processes, and standards.
- Critical thinking and problem solving skills.
- Analytical skills for writing rules & logic for manufacturing BOM creation.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
- Documentation & SW development.
- Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD
- Knowledge on lean concepts.
- Knowledge on concept designing of Jigs, fixtures and gauges.
- Knowledge on PLM MBOM
Education and Experience Requirements:
- BE in Industrial engineering or Mechanical engineering
- 1 to 2 years relevant work experience in a manufacturing environment
