JOB DESCRIPTION
JOB DESIGNATION: Executive Accounting
Reporting to: Executive Accounting
Location: Full Time, Mumbai (Andheri West).
- General Summary of the position:
- The executive accountant is someone who works closely with the Sr. Manager Accounting, Director, Auditor & the Leadership of the Company to manage all aspects related to the accounting department of the Company.
- The candidate would be well versed with using Zoho-Books and Tally, with the ability to follow accounting & bookkeeping principles.
- The candidate would come with a minimum experience of 3 years in an accounting & book-keeping function, with a thorough experience of maintaining Ledgers, Accounts Payables and Receivables, Cash & Bank, Tax-Filing, etc.
- Job Purpose:
- To manage and maintain all accounting-related tasks daily.
- To coordinate with other departments to ensure that all accounting-related data is made available in a timely manner, to enable an accurate representation of business accounts to the companys auditor and management.
- Job Description: Assist the Sr. Manager Accounts on the following
- Accounting Tasks
- Bills Booking & Tracking Amounts & Due Dates Purchases & Utility Bills.
- Credit Card Bills Reco. Segregation of Nature of Expense.
- Petty Cash Tracking & Management of Vouchers using Zoho Books.
- Scrutiny of Customer & Vendor Ledgers.
- Finalisation of Books of Accounts during Monthly Closing.
- Coordination with Auditors for Requirements & Timely Returns.
- Filing Systems for Important Company Documents.
- Bank & Cash Withdrawals.
- Payroll-Related
- Enforcing Employee Submission of Income Tax Declarations and Proof of Investments.
- Verification of Employee Investment Proofs (Payroll-related).
- Addressing any Employee queries related to their TDS calculations.
- Providing Form 16 to Employees (if needed).
- Coordination with EPF & ESIC Consultants and ensuring compliance.
- Statutory Compliances
- Verifying TDS Calculations.
- Ensuring TDS Payments are made on a timely basis.
- Coordination with CA Team to collect & file, Quarterly TDS Returns, GST Payments and TDS Certificates (send to vendors).
- Coordination with the Company Secretarial team for MCA-related compliances & Board Resolutions (as needed).
- Ideal Candidate Background:
- Minimum 2 Years experience in a similar role with a competent Company.
- Bachelors Degree in Commerce or related field.
- Good English-speaking & writing skills.
- Well-versed with Zoho-Books, and MS Excel/Google Sheets.
- Based in Mumbai.
