About the Role:

Were looking for an Excel VBA Developer with 2+ years of hands-on experience building robust spreadsheets, automation, and small-scale tools/macros. Youll modernize legacy workbooks, improve performance and reliability, and collaborate with business users to turn manual processes into maintainable, auditable solutions. Basic SQL knowledge is a plus for data extraction and reconciliation.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain Excel/VBA solutions: user forms, class modules, custom functions (UDFs), and automated workflows.
• Refactor and stabilize legacy workbooks (break circular references, reduce volatility, optimize calc).
• Integrate with data sources (CSV/Excel/SharePoint/ODBC/Power Query; basic SQL for reads/joins).
• Partner with stakeholders to gather requirements, prototype quickly, and iterate.
• Ensure version control, change tracking, and protection of sensitive data.

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years professional experience with Excel VBA (modules, forms, events, ADO, arrays, dictionaries).
• Strong Excel skills: advanced formulas, pivot tables, named ranges, data validation, conditional formatting.
• Solid understanding of workbook architecture & performance (calculation modes, volatile functions, screen updating, efficient loops).
• Experience with Power Query (Get & Transform) for ETL in Excel.
• Ability to translate business requirements into clear technical designs; strong communication skills.

Nice to Have

• SQL: basic query writing and debugging in T-SQL.
• Power BI or Power Pivot (DAX), Office Scripts, or Python for Excel.
• Working with SharePoint/OneDrive integrations and file automation.
• Basic understanding of SDLC: source control (Git), ticketing (Jira/Azure Boards), code reviews.
• Experience automating emails/outlook tasks and PDF/CSV generation.
