Data Validation: Ensure data is correctly extracted from source systems, transformed per business rules, and loaded into target databases

Responsibilities

• Test Planning & Execution: Develop test strategies, test plans, and test cases for ETL processes

• Data Quality Assurance: Verify data consistency, completeness, and accuracy across systems

• Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve issues in ETL workflows, transformations, and data mappings

• Collaboration: Work closely with developers, business analysts, and database administrators to align testing with business requirements
• Documentation: Maintain detailed records of test results, defects, and resolutions

• Technical Skills:
• Strong knowledge of SQL for data validation and query writing.
• Familiarity with ETL tools (e.g., Informatica, Talend, DataStage).
• Understanding of data warehouse concepts (star schema, snowflake schema, dimensions, facts).
• Experience with UNIX shell scripting and automation frameworks.
• Analytical Skills:
• Ability to analyze large datasets and identify discrepancies.
• Knowledge of data modeling and warehouse architecture (ODS, DM, EDW).
