Job Title: ETL Support Engineer (Azure Databricks / Snowflake)
Location: Bangalore / Hyderabad

Experience
- 25 years of experience in ETL / Data Platform Production Support roles.
- Strong exposure to production environments supporting data pipelines and batch jobs.
Required Skills
- Hands-on experience with Azure Databricks and/or Snowflake in a production support setup.
- Strong working knowledge of Unix/Linux environments.
- Hands-on experience in Shell / Bash / Unix scripting for monitoring, automation, and troubleshooting.
- Good understanding of ETL workflows, data pipelines, and batch processing.
- Proficiency in SQL for data validation, reconciliation, and issue resolution.
- Experience with ticketing tools such as ServiceNow, BMC Remedy, AOTS, or similar.
- Familiarity with monitoring tools like Kibana, ADX, or equivalent platforms.
- Basic understanding of Azure Cloud services related to data engineering.
- Good communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to coordinate across teams.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Provide L1/L2 ETL production support for data pipelines running on Azure Databricks and Snowflake.
- Monitor batch jobs, data loads, and workflows; identify failures and performance issues.
- Perform advanced troubleshooting of ETL failures, data discrepancies, and pipeline issues.
- Use SQL and scripting to analyze data issues, rerun jobs, and apply fixes where required.
- Coordinate with development, data engineering, and platform teams to resolve production issues.
- Ensure issues are resolved within SLA timelines and document root cause analysis (RCA).
- Support production deployments, job scheduling, and release activities.
- Participate in 247 support rotations, including weekends and holidays.
- Lead or actively participate in outage calls, ensuring timely communication and resolution.
- Drive continuous improvement through automation, monitoring enhancements, and process optimization.

Education & Qualifications
