Role : ETL Developer

JOB LOCATION : Bangalore / Chennai / Hyderabad / Mumbai / Indore / Ahmedabad

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT : 3+

Must have:

Hands on experience with IBM DataStage

Strong expertise in:

o Parallel Jobs

o Job Sequencing

o Parameterization

Solid understanding of ETL architecture and data warehousing concepts

Advanced SQL skills (Oracle / DB2 / SQL Server / Teradata)

Experience working on Unix/Linux environments

Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and optimization skills

Experience in Informatica PowerCenter

Strong proficiency in SQL (Oracle / DB2 / SQL Server / Teradata)

Solid understanding of ETL architecture and Data Warehousing concepts

Experience working with:

o Source Qualifier optimization

o Session configuration and workflows

o Reusability (mapplets, reusable transformations)

Hands on experience in Unix/Linux shell scripting

Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills

Good to have:

Experience working in BFSI / Financial Services domain

Knowledge of performance tuning techniques in DataStage

Experience with:

o Hash/Range partitioning

o Lookup stages

o Slowly Changing Dimensions (SCD)

Exposure to job scheduling tools (Control M, Autosys, etc.)

Experience with production support / L2-L3 support models

Experience in BFSI / Financial Services domain

Knowledge of performance tuning techniques in Informatica

Exposure to:

o Control M or other scheduling tools

o Autosys / Informatica scheduler

Experience with data quality and data validation

Exposure to Informatica upgrades or migrations

Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain DataStage ETL jobs using

o Parallel Jobs

o Server Jobs

o Sequence Jobs

Convert business and functional requirements into scalable ETL designs

Build and optimize complex data transformations and data flows

Develop reusable DataStage components, job parameter sets, and shared containers

Perform data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) from multiple source systems

Ensure data quality, consistency, and integrity across ETL processes

Handle job scheduling, error handling, logging, and Restartability

Perform ETL performance tuning for high volume data loads

Collaborate with Business Analysts, DBAs, Architects, QA, and production support teams

Support production deployments, daily batch monitoring, incident resolution, and enhancements

Follow SDLC / Agile methodologies and coding standards

Create and maintain technical design and ETL documentation

Design, develop, test, deploy, and support Informatica PowerCenter mappings, workflows, and sessions

Analyze business requirements and convert them into scalable ETL solutions

Develop and maintain complex transformations, including:

o Lookup

o Router

o Aggregator

o Expression

o Joiner

Implement data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes from multiple data sources

Ensure high performance and optimized ETL processing for large data volumes

Perform ETL performance tuning, including partitioning and pushdown optimization

Handle error handling, logging, and restartability mechanisms

Work closely with DBA, Data Architects, Business Analysts, and QA teams

Support production deployments, incident management, and defect resolution

Follow SDLC / Agile development methodologies

Maintain detailed technical documentation and adhere to coding standards
