Role & Responsibilities

Job Description:

professional with 6+ years of experience in Ab Initio ETL development and production support, possessing strong expertise across the entire solution lifecycle including requirement gathering, estimation, ETL design, development, testing, migration, and production go-live. The candidate should have hands-on experience with the Ab Initio tool suite such as Co>Op, GDE, EME, Continuous Flows, Control Center, Conduct>IT, and advanced components, with deep knowledge of Cooperating Systems architecture, parallelism techniques (data, pipeline, component), and performance optimization. Proficiency in EME version control, dependency analysis, sandboxes, and air commands is essential, along with experience in job scheduling and monitoring using Control Center. The role demands strong skills in ETL development within data warehouse environments, Oracle SQL/PLSQL, and Unix shell scripting, along with the ability to implement ETL design patterns, automation, and monitoring solutions. Experience working in Agile development models, handling production support, incident management, and RCA, coordinating with business stakeholders, and mentoring junior team members is also expected.

Technical Skills:

• 6+Years of experience on Ab Initio ETL Development & Production support experience
• Multifaceted experience in various phases of Solution Life cycle such as Requirement gathering, Estimation, ETL Design, Development, Reviews, UAT Testing, Migration and Production Go-Live Implementation.
• Coordination with Customer and business (stakeholders) to build a relationship.
• Experience with the broader Ab Initio tool suite & latest version such as Co>Op & EME, Continuous Flows, Control Center.Conduct>IT, advanced Ab Initio Components
• Should be well versed with the concepts of Cooperating System and GDE
• Extensive experience in Graphical Development Environment (GDE). Should be Able to make graphs for any given scenario using all basic components.
• Experience in Enterprise Meta Environment EME version control, dependency analysis, commands, air commands, sandboxes etc.
• Good working experience with all components of Ab Initio, Experience with various Ab initio parallelism techniques, Ab initio Graphs using Data, Pipeline & Component parallelisms
• Must have experience in Installation and scheduling of Jobs using latest version of Control Center
• Hands on experience with Data Extraction, Transformation and Data Loading in Data Warehouse environment.
• Review FSD/business requirement documents and consult on project scope and timelines Size, estimate and groom stories for development and deployment per agile methodology.
• Develop ETL jobs for automation, monitoring and responsible for job performance optimization with the use of ETL development tools or custom developed procedures.
• Implementing design decisions using design patterns and plans in Abinitio and creating Unix wrapper scripts to handle complex transformation logic.
• Experience working in an agile project development lifecycle
• Well Acquainted with Oracle SQL/PLSQL, Strong proficiency in Shell scripting
• Experience in production support and handling Incidents and providing RCA.
• Grooming junior resources in team on the technology and support.
