ERPNext Developer Stock & Inventory (24 Years Experience)
23 years of hands-on ERPNext development, with real production experience in Stock
& Inventory.
Training-only or demo-only experience does not qualify.
Role Summary
We are looking for an ERPNext developer who actually understands how inventory works
in the real world, not someone who just customized forms. You will work primarily on
Stock, Inventory, and related accounting flows, and you will be expected to modify core
behavior when required not just write client scripts.
Key Responsibilities
Core ERPNext / Frappe Work
Customize and extend ERPNext Stock & Inventory modules
Develop Server Scripts, Client Scripts, Custom Apps
Write and maintain Python (Frappe Framework) code
Create and modify DocTypes, Workflows, Reports, Print Formats
Stock & Inventory (Must-Have)
You must have worked with:
Item Master (UOMs, Variants, Item Groups)
Warehouses (hierarchy, default warehouses)
Stock Ledger Entries (SLE) you must understand how they work
Stock Reconciliation (valuation impact, common pitfalls)
Material Request (Purchase, Transfer, Manufacture)
Purchase Receipt & Delivery Note flows
Stock Transfers & Inter-Warehouse movemen
Batch-wise and Serial Number tracking
Valuation Methods:
o FIFO
o Moving Average
Negative stock handling and validation
Backdated stock entries and their impact
Integration & Automation
Custom validations on stock transactions
Automation using Hooks and Event Handlers
REST API usage for stock/inventory integrations
Background jobs and schedulers (when required)
Technical Skills (Non-Negotiable)
Strong Python
Solid understanding of Frappe Framework
ERPNext v14+ experience preferred
MariaDB / MySQL (queries, joins, performance basics)
JavaScript for ERPNext UI customization
Git (basic branching, pull, push, conflict resolution)
Linux server basics (logs, bench commands)
