Job Description
Role: Equity Research Analyst Lending Sector
Location: Mumbai
Experience: 5+ years
Desk: Sell-Side | Institutional Equities
Core Responsibilities
- Sector Coverage: Actively track and provide deep-dive coverage of listed Lending companies (Banks, NBFCs, and HFCs).
- Financial Modeling: Build, maintain, and stress-test complex 3-statement financial models and valuation frameworks (P/B, P/E, RI, and SOTP).
- Strategic Analysis: Monitor earnings, macro trends, and RBI regulatory developments to assess their impact on the lending ecosystem.
- Research Publishing: Author and publish differentiated research, including earnings reviews , thematic sector notes, and "Idea Flash" updates.
- Client Engagement: Lead investor calls, support institutional client interactions , and present high-conviction investment ideas during results season.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Institutional Sales and Trading teams to align research insights with actionable market strategies.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Professional Experience: 5+ years of dedicated sell-side research experience, specifically within Financials/BFSI .
- Education: CA, CFA Charter, or MBA (Finance) from a premier institution is highly preferred.
