Role Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced and visionary EPC Head to establish and lead our Turnkey EPC Business for Medium to Large Scale Projects in the Renewable Energy, Power & Energy Segment, Energy Infrastructure domain. This role will drive the complete lifecycle of EPC deliveryincluding project design, engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover. The EPC Head will also be responsible for building the full EPC function from the ground up, including developing the team, processes, digital tools, governance models, vendor ecosystem, and project execution frameworks.
This is a senior strategic leadership role requiring deep technical, operational, and commercial expertise across Renewable Energy, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), MW Power Electronics, Power Quality, and broader Energy Infrastructure solutions.

Key Responsibilities
1. EPC Function BuildUp & Leadership
- Establish the complete EPC organization structure, covering engineering, project management, supply chain, site execution, quality, safety, and commissioning.
- Develop processes, SOPs, engineering standards, templates, checklists, quality gates, and governance systems for endtoend EPC execution.
- Define and implement digital tools / IT platforms (ERP, scheduling tools, project dashboards, engineering databases, document management, etc.) for project control and transparency.
- Build a strong EPC culture focused on safety, delivery, quality, and customer satisfaction.
2. Project Engineering & Technical Leadership
- Lead concept design, basic/detailed engineering, system architecture, and plant design for:
- MW Solar / Renewable Plants
- Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)
- MW-scale PCS/Power Electronics
- Hybrid Energy Systems
- Power Quality and Grid Support Solutions
- Ensure compliance with global standards, local regulations, electrical codes, and utility interconnection requirements.
- Drive value engineering, optimization of BoQ, and cost competitiveness.
3. Procurement, Vendor Development & Contracts
- Build and manage a robust ecosystem of suppliers, EPC partners, civil/mechanical/electrical contractors, OEMs, and service agencies.
- Lead procurement of major packages including transformers, switchgear, inverters/PCS, batteries, structures, cables, and balance-of-plant materials.
- Negotiate strategic contracts, SLAs, warranties, and performance guarantees.
4. End-to-End Project Delivery
- Lead planning, scheduling, risk management, budgeting, forecasting, and execution of multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ensure ontime delivery, cost compliance, safety excellence, and highquality execution.
- Lead site teams for construction, testing, commissioning, and final project handover.
- Implement robust project control mechanisms: dashboards, escalation protocols, risk logs, and progress reviews.
5. Stakeholder & Customer Management
- Work closely with internal business units, sales, engineering, finance, and service teams for smooth project execution.
- Engage with customers, consultants, utilities, and statutory authorities for approvals, inspections, and compliance.
- Represent the EPC function in technical discussions, customer presentations, and review meetings.
6. Organizational Development
- Hire, mentor, and develop a highperforming crossfunctional EPC team.
- Build technical capability through training programs, certifications, and knowledge systems.
Required Experience & Background
Experience
- 20+ years of experience in Renewable Energy, EPC projects, BESS, MW-scale Power Electronics, Substations, Power Quality, or related Power & Energy domains.
- Proven track record delivering endtoend EPC projects (100 MW+ Renewables, C&I and Utility-scale BESS, or equivalent MW Power Infrastructure).
- Experience setting up EPC processes, teams, and tools from scratch is strongly preferred.
- Sound exposure to Indian and international project standards and regulatory frameworks.
Technical Skills
- Strong understanding of:
- Solar PV, Wind, Hybrid Renewable Systems
- Battery Energy Storage (Lithium-ion)
- MW PCS / Inverters and Control Systems
- Electrical Balance of Plant (EBOP)
- HT/LT Switchgear, SCADA, Transformers, Protection Systems
- Power Quality & Grid Stability Solutions
- Expertise in project management tools, engineering design software, and ERP environments.
Leadership Competencies
- Strategic thinking with handson execution capability.
- Strong commercial acumen, negotiation, and vendor management.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problemsolving skills.
- Ability to scale teams, processes, and delivery systems rapidly.
Education
- B.Tech / M.Tech in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics or related fields.
- PMP / PRINCE2 / Six Sigma or equivalent certifications are an added advantage.
