Location: Environment Audit Laboratory, PIT, Parul University

Reports To: Head, Environment Audit Laboratory

Job Summary:

Parul University invites applications for the position of Environmental Engineer in its NABL-accredited and GPCB-recognized Environmental Audit Laboratory. The role involves conducting environmental audit of the industries, pollution load study, water balance, designing of ETP/STP, sampling and analysis of environment samples, preparation of environmental audit reports, and supporting GPCB audit and NABL documentation activities.

Knowledge Required: The environment engineer should have in depth knowledge of environmental pollution, water technology, water and wastewater treatment unit operations & processes, water quality management, Mode of effluent disposal and standards, Design effluent management system, Performance and efficiency evaluation of ETP, Pollution load calculation, Air quality management, Control of particulates and gaseous pollutants, Hazardous waste management, Common effluent treatment plant, Pre-processing and co-processing of hazardous waste, Industrial fuel, Design adequacy of pollution control devices/treatment facility such as ETP, CETP, Stack and air pollution control equipments to achieve norms and Basics of significance, sampling, preservation and analysis of key parameters like pH, BOD, COD, DO, Ammonical Nitrogen, TDS, TSS, Hardness, PM-10, PM2.5, SO2, NO2, Leachate preparation, Calorific value, TOC, TCLP etc.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct environment audit of allotted industry
• Perform environment sampling and analysis
• Perform water balance and pollution load calculation
• Design adequacy of pollution control devices/treatment facility such as ETP, CETP, Stack and air pollution control equipments to achieve norms.
• Prepare Environment Audit Report
• Maintaining various environment audit records like site visit form, sample inward register, raw data calculation sheet and testing report compliance with NABL.
• Preparing documentation related to NABL, GPCB environment audit.
• Maintain confidentiality and integrity of environment audit data.

Qualifications:

• B.E/B.Tech in Environmental Engineering/Civil Engineering with one-year experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with team members.
• Willingness to learn and develop new skills in the environment audit work.

Mandatory Requirement:

It is prerequisite to pass the qualifying test for team members of GPCB Environment Auditor Examination as Environmental Engineer held on 21.09.2021.
