This role involves working across multiple domains, including Manufacturing, Engineering, Capital Projects, Integrated Asset Management, and SDV. The ideal candidate will possess deep knowledge of NVIDIA/ Unreal products for building Digital Twins, cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, etc.), and customer solutioning, delivering innovative and robust digital twin solutions. Key Responsibilities: This role emphasizes the senior architect's ability to leverage the strengths of both/either NVIDIA technologies and Unreal Engine to design, develop, and deliver high-performance digital twins. Solution Architecture & Design: Architect and Design: o Lead the design and implementation of complex digital twin architectures, leveraging both NVIDIA technologies (e.g., Omniverse) and Unreal Engine. o Translate customer requirements into technical specifications for digital twin development, considering the strengths of both NVIDIA and Unreal Engine. o Define data integration strategies for real-time data flow within the digital twin, potentially using tools like NVIDIA Omniverse Nucleus or Unreal Engine's Live Link. o Design and implement real-time simulation functionalities within Unreal Engine, potentially utilizing NVIDIA PhysX for physics simulation. o Ensure the digital twin architecture is scalable, reliable, performant, and leverages the strengths of both NVIDIA and Unreal Engine. Development Integration: o Develop core functionalities and logic for the digital twin using Unreal Engine's Blueprint visual scripting or C++. o Integrate 3D models, simulations, and visualizations into the digital twin using Unreal Engine tools and potentially consider NVIDIA Omniverse for collaboration and data exchange. o Optimize 3D assets and workflows for real-time performance within the digital twin, considering optimization techniques for both Unreal Engine and NVIDIA hardware (if applicable). o Implement user interface (UI) elements for interaction and data visualization within the digital twin. Cloud Technologies: Utilize cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, etc) to deploy end-to-end digital twin solutions, ensuring optimal performance and security. Digital Twin Technologies: Build digital twins encompassing process simulations, plant simulation models, data analytics, IoT integrations, real-time monitoring, predictive maintenance tools etc. Immersive Visualizations: Design and integrate immersive visualization solutions using VR/AR technologies to enhance the user experience and provide intuitive insights into digital twin models. Technical Leadership: Mentorship: Provide expert technical guidance and mentorship to cross-functional teams, ensuring adherence to best practices and architectural standards. Innovation: Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously innovate and enhance digital twin solutions. Customer Collaboration: Client Engagement: Partner with clients to understand their unique challenges and objectives, crafting tailored digital twin solutions that address their specific needs and exceed expectations. Solution Delivery: Ensure successful delivery of solutions through excellent communication and project management skills. Documentation & Knowledge Sharing: Documentation: Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including architectural diagrams, design specifications, and operational guides. Training: Conduct internal training sessions and workshops to share knowledge and expertise, promoting continuous learning. Professional & Technical Skills: Proven Experience: Minimum 4+ years of hands-on experience in building Digital Twins of various capacities and scale using NVIDIA/ Unreal technologies. NVIDIA Technologies: In-depth knowledge of NVIDIA Omniverse platform, including its architecture, capabilities, and development tools (e.g., USD, MDL, PhysX) Experience with NVIDIA hardware (e.g., GPUs) and software development kits (SDKs) relevant to digital twins. Unreal Engine Expertise: In-depth knowledge of Unreal Engine for digital twin development, including its real-time rendering capabilities, physics simulations, and data integration tools (e.g., Live Link, Datasmith) [Unreal Engine digital twins ON unrealengine.com], experience with Blueprint visual scripting or C++ for building functionalities within the digital twin. Plant and Process Simulations: Extensive experience in plant and process simulations, including virtual commissioning, process optimization, and layout planning. Cloud Technologies: Proficiency in AWS and Azure cloud platforms, with experience in deploying and managing digital twin solutions. Programming Skills: Strong skills in programming languages such as Java, Python, and C++. IoT Integration: Expertise in integrating IoT devices and sensors for real-time data acquisition and monitoring. Predictive Maintenance: Knowledge of predictive maintenance tools and techniques. Immersive Visualizations: Experience with VR/AR technologies for creating immersive visualization solutions in digital twin environments.
