Enterprise Architect Lead – SaaS Platform

Role Summary

The Enterprise Architect Lead will own the end-to-end solution architecture blueprint for client deployments on a SaaS platform. This role acts as the architectural authority within Professional Services, ensuring every implementation is scalable, secure, compliant, and aligned with client business objectives. The individual will bridge client architecture teams, product engineering, and delivery stakeholders translating business goals into high-performing, AI-enabled, and extensible technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Solution Ownership & Architecture Governance

• Define and govern the overall solution architecture blueprint across all SaaS deployments.
• Ensure architectural alignment between client objectives, platform capabilities, and configuration standards.
• Establish data architecture, integration strategy, and interoperability standards across modules and external systems.
• Govern design reviews, technical risk assessments, and validate scalability, resilience, and performance SLAs.

Integration & Data Flow

• Design integration touchpoints, APIs, and data flow strategies between the SaaS platform and client systems (ERP, CRM, AI engines, etc.).
• Ensure modularity and reusability of integration components; leverage platform-native integration tools.
• Collaborate with Product Engineering to define reference architectures and reusable templates.

Security, Compliance & Optimization

• Implement architectural guardrails for data privacy, security, and regulatory compliance (GDPR, SOC2, ISO 27001).
• Define standards for identity management, access control, and data protection.
• Continuously assess deployed solutions for performance tuning, cost optimization, and extensibility.

Functional Alignment & Business Enablement

• Translate business processes and functional requirements into scalable technical designs.
• Partner with functional consultants to ensure workflow orchestration and automation align with client KPIs.
• Drive adoption of AI/ML-driven features for predictive insights, intelligent automation, and decision support.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement

• Act as the architectural bridge between:
• Client stakeholders (CIO, IT architects, functional leads)
• Technology Solution Architects for cross-domain alignment
• Product Management (for roadmap inputs)
• Product Engineering (for API enablement and platform guardrails)
• Support teams (for operational readiness)
• Lead architecture walkthroughs, design sign-offs, and governance sessions.
• Maintain an up-to-date architecture decision log for traceability.

Thought Leadership & Knowledge Enablement

• Champion architecture best practices, reusable design patterns, and accelerators.
• Contribute to the Architecture Playbook and knowledge base.
• Mentor Functional Architects, Integration Specialists, and Configurators.
• Influence platform evolution based on client feedback and emerging technologies.

Required Skills & Competencies

Technical Expertise

• Strong background in enterprise architecture for SaaS platforms.
• Expertise in workflow AI/ML, automation, and orchestration.
• Hands-on experience with cloud-native platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP), microservices, APIs, and event-driven architectures.
• Deep understanding of data architecture, ETL, master data management, and integration patterns.
• Familiarity with security and compliance frameworks for enterprise deployments.

Functional & Business Acumen

Qualifications

• Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 1218 years of progressive experience in solution architecture or SaaS deployments.
• Experience leading multi-system integration programs in large enterprises.
• Preferred Certifications:
• TOGAF or Zachman Framework
• Cloud Architect (AWS/Azure/GCP)
• ITIL Foundation
• AI/ML certifications (e.g., AWS Machine Learning Specialty, Azure AI Engineer Associate)
