As an Engineering Suppliers Quality - Lead Engineer, you are responsible for Engineering Suppliers Quality guaranteeing IET Engineering Supply Base is structured to deliver high quality standard deliverables.
This will include Supplier qualification, audits, Quality Reviews, tactical support and strategic improvement projects. Drive supplier qualifications and surveillance as required by QMS procedures, to ensure that assigned suppliers have capability and processes for high quality execution. Specific Focus on New Outsourcing Model

As an Engineering Suppliers Quality - Lead Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Driving quality of Engineering suppliers, improving Suppliers quality performance via efficient Quality system implementation
- Owning new suppliers qualification process
- Owning Suppliers surveillance through audits and/or Quality Management Reviews to assess Suppliers’ Quality Management system, process, performance, workload and execution; be detailed oriented.
- Providing leadership role during investigations of major problems and of special projects with suppliers responsibility
- Leading Root Cause Analysis process with suppliers and approve related Corrective and Preventive Actions for identified defects. Lead effectiveness review when required.
- Monitoring supplier non-conformance performance and internal defects; identify and drive process analysis and related Back charge process.
- Defining KPIs to monitor Suppliers performance and drive internal adoption for processes/tools to implement them
- Driving improvements utilizing Supplier Scorecards, ensuring supplier compliance, and driving improvement plans
- Understand and drive Six Sigma / Lean quality internally and with suppliers
- Working closely with Sourcing, Manufacturing, and Engineering to eliminate roadblocks and communication barriers that may affect quality and delivery requirements
- Drive proactive Quality Assurance model throughout the engineering chain
- Developing positive relationships and work closely with Engineering Platform Leaders and Engineering Quality Leaders to manage and implement supplier/engineering changes, New Product Introductions
- Applying communication skills and knowledge of business goals, programs, or processes within a Product Line to ensure successful project outcomes

To be successful in this role you will:
- Have a minimum bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university with minimum 5 years of relevant experience
- Have an experience in Quality Management System (QMS), Iso 9001 -2015 certified lead auditor
- Have an Engineering supplier qualification
- Have an experience in Root cause analysis (RCA)
- Have an experience in Defining KPIs for supplier performance
- Have a Six sigma green belt
- Have an experience working with suppliers
- Have an ability to travel 30% of the time (International & Domestic)
- Good to have Italian language exposure
- Have a strong analytical, problem-solving skills
- Have an ability to deal with suppliers and to challenge Internal and external organization
- Have an experience in Quality Roles
- Have Strong oral and written communication, presentation and facilitation, interpersonal and leadership skills.
- have an ability to influence others and lead small teams. Lead initiatives of moderate scope and impact. Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously.
- Have knowledge on Power platform applications, business intelligence, data analytics & Excel reporting’s.
