Engineering Manager – Android Platform

Job Summary

Lead and manage a high-performing software engineering team to design, develop, and deliver high-quality Android-based software products. The role requires strong technical expertise, people leadership, and ownership of delivery for customer-facing platforms.

Experience: 15+ Years

Location: Pune (Hinjewadi Phase 1)

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage an Android software engineering team

Own end-to-end delivery of software for major customer programs

Drive architectural decisions related to performance, media, graphics, memory, and UX

Ensure high-quality releases through unit testing, automation, and stability testing

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, QA, and leadership

Hire, mentor, and develop engineering talent

Manage project planning, execution, and budget forecasting

Required Skills & Experience

Strong expertise in Android development (Java/Kotlin) with product delivery experience from top product companies

Experience with media frameworks such as ExoPlayer or custom media players is preferred .

Solid knowledge in SDLC

Hands-on experience in system-level debugging (ADB, logs, memory analysis)

Experience delivering complex, customer-facing Android products

Strong understanding of Agile, CI/CD, DevOps, and automated testing

Strong Communication Skills
