Role: Engineering Manager – Linux Systems, Cybersecurity, C++ & Secure Software Development
Purpose:
Lead a high-performing team of Linux and C++ developers focused on secure software development for medical devices. Ensure compliance with regulatory standards while driving innovation and technical excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Team Leadership & Development
  • Mentor and develop engineers in Linux, C++, and cybersecurity.
  • Foster collaboration, ownership, and continuous learning.
  • Set goals, conduct performance reviews, and manage career growth.
• Project & Technical Management
  • Plan and manage delivery of secure, scalable software solutions.
  • Implement hardened Linux configurations and secure architectures.
  • Mitigate risks and ensure timely, compliant releases.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Act as liaison between Development, QA, DevOps, Product Management, and global teams.
  • Translate technical and compliance requirements into actionable plans.
• Quality, Compliance & Innovation
  • Drive CI/CD adoption, automated testing, and modern DevOps practices.
  • Stay updated on Linux security, C++ development, and medical compliance.
  • Align with SSDLC and standards like ISO 13485 and IEC 62304.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s/Master’s in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 15+ years in software development, with 3+ years in engineering management.
• Proven experience in Linux systems, C++, cybersecurity, and Shell scripting in regulated industries (preferably healthcare).

Technical Expertise

• Deep knowledge of Linux internals and secure OS configurations.
• Strong proficiency in C++ (C++11/14/17), Bash, Python.
• Experience with CI/CD tools, secure coding, and code reviews.
• Familiarity with DevOps and Agile/Scrum.
• Understanding of medical device regulatory standards and secure development frameworks.
