Engineering Manager – Maersk Observability Platform

Maersk is looking for an innovative Engineering Manager to lead a team of 10 engineers driving the evolution of the Maersk Observability Platform (MOP). Built on the Grafana LGTM stack, MOP supports mission-critical systems across Maersk's global operations. You will define and implement the next stage of observability and alerting strategies, integrating AI-driven insights to ensure reliable, high-performance digital experiences for our customers.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead the Team: Inspire and guide a high-performing engineering team, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.
  • Build the Future of Observability: Enhance the observability platform by incorporating AI to predict and mitigate issues proactively.
  • Empower Developers: Provide tools and insights that align infrastructure, application performance, and customer experience.
  • Simplify Complexity: Tackle challenges in distributed systems and microservices to deliver seamless digital experiences.
  • Drive Business Impact: Align observability strategies with business outcomes, focusing on cost efficiency, risk reduction, and customer satisfaction.

What You’ll Need:

  • Leadership Experience: 10+ years in software engineering, including 3+ years leading teams.
  • Technical Expertise: Proficiency with Grafana, Prometheus, Tempo, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP). AI-powered observability experience is a big plus.
  • Strategic Mindset: Ability to connect technical decisions with customer and business outcomes.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Experience handling complex tech stacks and distributed architectures.
