Job Description
We are looking for an enthusiastic Engineering Manager to work within our Consumer Information Business.
This is a hybrid role requiring travelling to Hyderabad office at least 2 times per month
We're using Java and C++ based distributed batch systems alongside .Net, Python and Scala based cloud native systems and are always keen to evaluate new features to see if we can take advantage of them. We use a wide variety of testing and quality techniques, and our services are pushed through our environments using a combination of GIT, Jenkins for source control, build and release for the backbone of our CI pipeline. As we develop into the future targeting cloud infrastructure and scalability, we want to bring you along the journey with us over the coming years.
Key Responsibilities:
- You will be #LI-hybrid based in Hyderabad and reporting to Director Engineering.
- Leading an agile team to develop quality solutions
- Collaborating effectively to support and enhance the full product lifecycle
- Reviewing proposals, evaluating alternatives, providing estimates and making recommendations
- Serving as an expert on applications and providing technical support
- Revising, updating, refactoring and debugging greenfield and established codebases
- Supporting other team members' development
Qualifications
- 10+ years of relevant experience & leading teams
- Ability to pick up new skills and proprietary code
- Proficient at delivering in Linux Server based environments
- Proficient in scripting languages (powershell, bash, etc)
- Experience of Security Protocols
- Experience of developing with AWS cloud services including (but not limited to) AWS Glue, S3, Step Functions, Lambdas, EventBridge and SQS
- Experience of programming using Scala and Python at enterprise levels
- Working multiple architectures (monolith and microservice)
- Working in an Agile team
Useful skills:
- Implemented and used a variety of automated testing approaches and techniques
- Serverless development and deployment (desirable)
- Knowledge of AWS infrastructure (desirable)
