Job Title: Engineering Manager/Chapter Lead

Business & Team: Financial Crime Technology
Impact & contribution:
As a member of the Financial Crime Technology (FinCrime Tech), you will contribute to the technology products and services we deliver, from architecture, technical design and coding to deployment to operation. Our FinCrime Tech products and services are leveraged across the Group's Financial Crime Operations & Financial Crime Compliance teams.
Roles & Responsibilities:
As a Chapter Lead, you’ll be providing expert advice relating to technology, solution design and architecture, people leadership and driving excellence in technical delivery as per group engineering practices and standards. You will bring a perfect blend of people management, technical expertise and will be responsible for shaping the evolution of technical squad through contribution to the technology strategy, quarterly crew memo, prioritise backlog, define delivery roadmap, and determine which problems to invest in solving.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop scalable solutions using wide tech stack. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software engineering, exceptional problem-solving skills, and a passion for building robust systems.
Essential Skills:
- Minimum 12+ years of extensive experience in enterprise-level engineering.
- Extensive experience in automation engineering and test automation frameworks.
- Have a proven track record of leading high-performing engineering teams
- Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, including tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and Azure DevOps or equivalent.
- Language orientation: Experience on C#, .NET Framework Core, Selenium, Knowledge of Playright tool is plus.
- Artificial Intelligence: Experience in AI technologies, particularly around tooling enhancements will be valued.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex automation issues.
- Knowledge of performance testing tools and techniques (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Educational Qualifications: Bachelor of Engineering or B.Tech
