Engineering Manager

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a team of engineers specializing in Java, Golang, and Python to deliver high-quality cloud services and distributed systems.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the development team, ensuring best practices in coding, architecture, and design.
• Oversee the entire development process, including planning, execution, and delivery of cloud services and event-driven applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, design, and QA, to ensure seamless integration and delivery of features.
• Implement and maintain agile methodologies to ensure efficient and effective project management.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure the team is using the most current and effective tools and practices.
• Manage the deployment process, ensuring smooth and timely releases of cloud services.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues that arise during development and deployment.
• Oversee performance management, ensuring that team members are meeting their goals and contributing to the success of the organization.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience in managing a team of engineers in a fast-paced, agile environment.
• Strong hands-on technical expertise in Java, Golang, and Python.
• Experience with building internet-scale cloud services, distributed systems, and event-driven applications.
• Experience with both AWS and GCP, with a preference for GCP.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience with cloud services and backend integration.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools.
