A Day in the Life

Youll begin by tackling complex software challenges that demand precision, speed, and reliability. Youll design, develop, and debug critical system components while guiding and mentoring engineers around you. Every decision and every line of code you contribute helps shape a life-saving surgical platform used across the globe.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

• C++ and RTOS (embedded platform software dev side); advanced C++; 11 and above ; sage agile exp; executing projects in safe agile
• software dev exp of 10 years; people management of 5-6 years , planning & executing projects, stakeholder mgmt
• leading and building teams , coaching and mentoring teams
• 15-20 span of control ; number of people managed
• working with global teams ; USA teams ; multi site teams
• strategic in nature ; how to get bigger and getting more work from OU side; planning & executing strategies; driving innovation and improvement
• domain- exp in aerospace , automobiles, railway, defense products, medical dev ; good exp on safety critical systems
• developing software that runs with hardware, comm protocols talks with hardware - this is what embedded means
• BE- electrical & communication , mechatronics, no computer science
