Engineering Lead, Customer Value Engineering

Customer Value Engineering is Emas forward-deployed, production-focused engineering group. CVE engineers sit at the intersection of Applied AI systems, real customer business processes and enterprise-grade reliability, security, and integrations.

This is a high-leverage leadership role where you will lead technical discovery, solution design, and delivery across multiple concurrent projects, working closely with pods of AI Application Engineers. You will be the escalation point for technical and stakeholder challenges and the primary interface between customers, CVE, and Core Engineering.

What Youll Work On

Customer Discovery, Problem Solving & Target Process Design

• Lead technical discovery with customers to deeply understand the existing business process , data and system constraints , stakeholder incentives and risks
• Define the target process for customers and identify the minimum set of capability gaps

Solution Architecture & Technical Judgment

• Architect end-to-end agentic solutions using Emas AIE
• Decide where to take shortcuts and where not to, and clearly articulate the risks and mitigations.

Delivery Leadership Across Multiple Projects

• Own quality, timelines, and outcomes across multiple customer projects in parallel.
• Plan and sequence work across pods of AI Application Engineers.

Stakeholder Negotiation & Communication

• Negotiate technical and delivery tradeoffs with Internal teams, Customer IT teams and Customer Business teams

Raising the Bar for CVE Execution

• Drive solutioning and development best practices within CVE
• Define and improve delivery playbooks
• Build and curate reusable assets

Partnership with Product & Core Engineering

• Partner with EPD/Core Engineering to close capability gaps discovered in the field
• Develop new AIE development paradigms (deployment, monitoring, operations)

Team Leadership & Mentorship

• Mentor AI Application Engineers on Architecture and design, debugging and production issues ,Customer communication and execution discipline

Who You are

• You have 8+ years of experience building and delivering production software or customer-facing systems.
• You have a proven track record owning multiple complex deployments end-to-end.
• You have hands-on experience with at least one GenAI/LLM-powered system in production, including post-launch iteration.
• You have strong applied GenAI knowledge on prompting and tool/function calling,
• RAG and grounding strategies, Human-in-the-loop design, Evaluation methodologies (golden sets, regression, online metrics)
• You have strong engineering fundamentals in Python and/or TypeScript, APIs, integrations, auth patterns and real - world data handling and debugging
