Engineering Lead / AVP – Engineering

The Lead Engineer (AVP Engineering) will own the end-to-end technology build and delivery of the BLive Mobility platform a SaaS platform for fleet management, logistics operations, EV charging, driver workflows, and carbon tracking.

This is a hands-on leadership role. The candidate must have prior experience building fleet, logistics, or IoT-based platforms and should be comfortable architecting systems, writing production code, and leading delivery. The role will lead the transition from a monolithic system to a scalable microservices architecture and scale the platform across India and global markets.

Technology & Platform Ownership

• Own engineering strategy, architecture, and delivery for the platform.
• Build a scalable, multi-tenant SaaS architecture across Fleet, Logistics, Charging, and Carbon modules.
• Translate product requirements into sprint-ready engineering plans.
• Ensure platform reliability, performance, uptime, and cloud cost efficiency on AWS.

Hands-On Architecture & Development

• Lead from the front code, review, and architect critical components when required.
• Design microservices and API-first systems using Node.js / NestJS .
• Architect event-driven systems for real-time fleet and IoT data using Kafka, SQS, SNS.
• Lead monolith-to-microservices migrations and database transitions.
• Own integrations with telematics systems, IoT devices, ERP platforms, and external APIs .
• Partner with DevOps on CI/CD, Kubernetes (EKS), observability, and security.

Execution & Team Leadership

• Build and lead a high-performing engineering team (Backend, Frontend, DevOps, QA).
• Drive strong engineering culture, code quality, and predictable delivery.
• Work closely with Product and Business teams to meet release timelines.

AI & Data

• Drive AI/ML use cases such as route optimization, predictive maintenance, and operational analytics .
• Build real-time data pipelines for fleet and logistics intelligence.

• 815 years of experience in software engineering and leadership.
• Mandatory experience building fleet management, logistics, or IoT-based SaaS platforms .
• Strong hands-on expertise in Node.js / NestJS , microservices, and AWS .
• Experience with Kubernetes (EKS) , CI/CD, and Infrastructure-as-Code.
• Experience with Kafka / SQS / SNS , observability tools, and high-availability systems.
• Strong database experience with Postgres, MongoDB, DynamoDB .
• Proven experience leading monolith-to-microservices migrations .
