Engineer-Cell Testing

Job Purpose:

We are looking for a committed Battery Cell testing Engineer, the aspirants should have widespread knowledge and experience, specifically in Li-ion cell testing. The Battery Cell Test Engineer executes the test plans generated by R&D team for the development & validation of Lithium ion cells.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute DVP&R or test plans defined by R&D team
• Develop and implement validation and qualification programs for various battery cell technologies
• Develop test procedures and write test programs in battery testing software
• Write and maintain standard operating procedures (SOP) for test equipment.
• Work with Engineering teams to fabricate, install, and validate new test equipment as well as repair and debug issues with existing equipment
• Train technicians on equipment and SOPs incorporating user feedback
• Apply troubleshooting skills and ability to quickly solve unknown problems
• Manage inventory of channels, chambers, cells, testing related parts etc.
• Ability to multi-task with multi-functional teams and willingness to travel when required.
• Collaborate effectively with the cross-functional teams and lead the project to successful completion
• Accurately forecast task and project timelines to execute project plans.
• Analyze and interpret battery test data using tools such as Python and MATLAB to identify trends, detect anomalies, and generate actionable insights

Education:

• BE/B.Tech in engineering or comparable qualification

Experience :

• 3+ years of experience in Cylindrical/Prismatic Li-ion cell testing
• Proficient in using battery testing equipment such as Arbin, Maccor, Neware
• Expert in writing programs in battery testing software
• Hands-on experience in processing and interpreting large battery datasets using Python and MATLAB, including statistical analysis, plotting, anomaly detection, and model-based performance evaluation.
