Engineer

Job Specification:

Engineer Responsible for creating engineering documents such as CAD models, drawing and communicating the status of work to the customers located across different time zones as and when required, good understanding about mechanical component design, development and implementation.

This role reports to the India Site Manager.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Creates 3D modelling, Revit modelling, technical literature creation, drawing creation, and conversion of legacy 2D drawings to 3D models ensuring they are completed on time with high quality.

Prepares a variety of routine drafting projects, such as the preparation of various drawings of structures and equipment systems derived from layouts and sketches.

Follows established technical specifications to prepare drawings and assists in design drafting.

Prepares simple sketches and completes detail and layout drawings.

Consults with engineers regarding model accuracy, design, and drafting standards.

Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.

Calculates stack-up of detail components and may prepare minor cost studies consisting of new details and/or marked prints and all supporting documentation.

May develop a range of products or processes and recommends alterations to improve quality of products and/or processes.

Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.

Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

Under supervision, performs work that is varied and that may be somewhat difficult in character, but usually involves limited responsibility.

Some evaluation, originality or ingenuity is required. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision.

Expected: (Education, training, and experience)

Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering with 3-5 years of relevant experience.

Familiar with Mechanical Engineering subjects related to Mechanical component design (Plastics, Sheet metal and Machined Components)

Moderate to Strong knowledge on Fluid Mechanics and Strength of Materials - Solving Engineering problems

Good Knowledge on Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)

Strong Knowledge on Zurn Elkay products specific to (Drinking water solutions, Linear Drainage, Water safety and Control, Finish Plumbing and PEX)
