Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior QA Engineer with a strong background in both manual and automation testing to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our Enterprise Analytical Service, specifically focusing on an automated platform provisioning orchestration framework and its integrated reporting system. This role requires a hands-on approach to testing, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to design, develop, and execute comprehensive test strategies across our UI, Backend, Database, and Reporting Dashboards.

Responsibilities:

• Test Strategy & Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test strategies for the Enterprise Analytical Service, covering both functional and non-functional requirements across all layers (UI, Backend, DB, Reporting).
• Manual Testing: Perform thorough manual testing of new features, enhancements, and bug fixes for the Angular UI, Springboot backend, and Tableau reporting dashboards, ensuring adherence to design specifications, functionalities and user experience standards.
• Automation Testing: Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable automation test scripts and frameworks using industry-standard tools and programming languages for UI, API, and backend components.
• UI Testing: Conduct extensive testing of the Angular-based user interface to ensure functionality, usability, and responsiveness.
• API End-point Testing: Lead and execute comprehensive API testing for Springboot backend services, ensuring data integrity, security, and performance.
• Backend Testing: Validate the functionality and logic of the Springboot backend services, including data processing and business rules.
• Database Testing: Perform data validation and integrity checks on MongoDB, ensuring accurate data storage and retrieval.
• Framework Testing: Specialize in testing an automated platform provisioning orchestration framework, ensuring its stability, scalability, and performance.
• Reporting System Testing: Conduct detailed testing of the utilization reporting system built with Tableau, verifying data accuracy, report generation, dashboard functionality, and integration with the main framework.
• Defect Management: Identify, document, track, and retest defects, working closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution.
• Performance Testing: Participate in performance and load testing activities for all layers of the application to ensure the platform can handle expected workloads.
• Collaboration: Collaborate closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements, provide feedback, and ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Process Improvement: Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes, methodologies, and tools.
• Mentorship: Mentor junior QA engineers and contribute to a culture of quality within the team.

Qualifications:

• 7+ years of relevant experience in Quality Assurance with a significant focus on both manual and automation testing
• Experience working in Financial Services or a large complex and/or global environment
• Project Management experience
• Proven hands-on experience with automation testing frameworks and tools (e.g., Selenium, Playwright, Cypress for UI; TestNG, JUnit, Pytest for backend)
• Strong programming skills in at least one scripting or object-oriented language (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript, C#)
• Extensive experience with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, SoapUI, REST Assured)
• Familiarity with Angular framework for UI testing.
• Understanding of Springboot applications and microservices architecture
• Proficiency in testing NoSQL databases, specifically MongoDB
• Experience in testing reporting dashboards and data visualization tools, particularly Tableau
• Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and QA methodologies, tools, and processes
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Ability to work in a matrix environment and partner with virtual teams
• Ability to work independently, prioritize, and take ownership of various parts of a project or initiative
• Ability to work under pressure and manage to tight deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements
• Proven track record of operational process change and improvement

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, OpenAI) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests into the pipeline
• Strong knowledge of SQL for data validation (even if primary DB is NoSQL, for related systems or data analysis)
• Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner)
• Understanding of distributed systems and microservices architecture

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
