Engineer Plumbing & Fire Protection(Hospitals)

• Undertake technical reviews, peer reviews, checks and contribute to the design
• Provide continuous feedback to the Associate/ Principal Engineer Plumbing & Fire Protection on the effectiveness of the protocols and processes in place with a view to continuous improvement
• Participate in Project meetings, team meetings, disseminate information within the team, and communicate with other teams in WSP
• Identify and act on, or refer, potential risk issues and follow in full the company commercial and contracting processes
• Manage delegated tasks to ensure that deadlines are met and flag resourcing concerns to team leader
• Identify and flag additional fees to the Associate/ Principal Engineer Plumbing & fire Protection

Key Competencies / Skills

Mandatory skills

• Plumbing & Fire Protection design experience for commercial and residential buildings for concept, schematic and detailed design stages
• Fixture load calculations, pipe pressure drop Calculations
• Pipe sizing for hot & cold water and fire protection
• Preparation of Plumbing and Fire equipment
• Schedules for Pumps, pipes, valves, etc., and BOQs
• Preparation of layouts, schematics, sections, plant rooms hand mark ups
• ASHRAE and ISHRAE, ASPE, IPC, all NFPA Fire codes and standards'

Desired skills

• Heavy Comp for Pipe sizing
• Cold & Hot water, drainage distribution systems
• Revit MEP software working Knowledge on 3D modeling and coordination

Qualifications

• B.Tech /B.E.(Civil/Environmental/Mechanical)
