We currently have 3 vacancies for Mechanical Engineers at our new, state‑of‑the‑art Bangalore facility.
In this role, you’ll contribute to bringing innovative engineering solutions to life through detailed design work, engineering calculations, CAD modelling, and the preparation of technical reports that support manufacturing and system integration, while ensuring all outputs meet high engineering standards through rigorous documentation review and close collaboration across multiple Business Units.

Key Responsibilities:
- Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to Weir’s zero-harm behaviours in support of the drive towards developing a world class safety culture.
- Create 3D CAD models, manufacturing drawings and assemblies for the Weir products and systems based on the design requirement
- Perform engineering calculations and simulations for design validation
- Ensure that the deliverables align with relevant design requirements (specifications, standards, schedule, etc.) and best industry practices/guidelines.
- Execute projects as per defined quality, on time delivery & schedule.
- Work independently without supervision.
- Communicate/report/document technical information with project team and customer.
- Perform drive calculations based on the inputs provided and able to independently select & decide the necessary sheaves, bushings, belts, gearbox, and couplings etc.
- Perform quality checking of drawing generated by peers and provide feedback.
Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:
- B.E. in Mechanical Engineering with 2–3 years of experience, or an equivalent blend of education and hands‑on experience capable of meeting the role requirements.
- Strong foundation in mechanical design engineering, including the ability to perform and interpret engineering calculations and simulations.
- Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, mechanical machinery, tooling, drives, bearings, exciters, and structural components.
- Skilled in system engineering and capable of integrating equipment such as pumps, valves, vibrating equipment, and electric motors.
- Knowledgeable in metals and materials, their applications, GD&T, and core drawing principles.
- Proficient in 3D and 2D solid modelling tools.
