Responsibilities

You will be a key member of the S&P Global Market Intelligence Cappitech team.

Key responsibilities include:

  • 8+ years of QA experience / 2+ years of Relevant Experience in IT Performance Testing.
  • Expertise in test planning, writing scripts, performance test execution and analysis of performance test results.
  • Designs innovative, sustainable solutions which are congruent with the strategic direction of the company.
  • Proactively seek opportunities to form partnerships with the customers and stakeholders to co-create value for the company.
  • Monitor progress and produce reports, archives them and gives assessments to management about the quality of each release/feature.
  • Ensure the Test Conditions and Expected Results are complete and accurate.
  • Compare performance test results to production to create a predictive model.
  • Logs and documents the discrepancies observed following test execution activities. Use department - approved software utilities to track product errors and source code versions.
  • Demonstrable experience in tracking fixes and features in JIRA or similar configuration management tool.
  • Proven experience with scripting and testing using JMeter, Microfocus- LoadRunner or any other industry standard performance testing tool.
  • Skilled in scripting/good knowledge and understanding with one of the following programming languages: Java, Java Script, Python etc.
  • Proven experience with distributed version control systems and branching strategies.
  • Proven experience with continuous integration, continuous delivery, and continuous deployment methods and tools (Jenkins/ TeamCity/ CI-CD pipeline/ Kubernetes & Docker).
  • Troubleshooting skills - Ability to carry out root cause analysis of complex performance issues, analyze results and recommend performance solutions.
  • Ability and experience in working with globally distributed cross-functional teams.

What we are looking for:

Lead day-to-day non-functional testing activities in order to ensure that the current commitments are achieved while improvements are being made.

Key Qualifications and Skills:

  • Excellent knowledge of the software testing lifecycle.
  • Solid understanding and experience with agile software development methodologies and the practices derived from it.
  • Expertise in test planning, writing test cases/scripts, Performance test execution and analysis of Performance test results.
  • Ability to convert performance requirements from Product into actionable performance attributes.
  • Run and manage performance test activities.
  • Develop and maintain performance test scripts, test data and expected results.
  • Derive test conditions and expected results from requirements & user stories.
  • Ensure the Test Conditions and Expected Results are complete and accurate.
  • Proven skills in JMeter, Web Load, LoadRunner and/or other industry standard performance testing tool.
  • Experience with scripting and testing using JMeter, Microfocus- LoadRunner or any other Performance Testing tool.
  • Experience working with and testing server/client-side applications.
  • Design, develop, troubleshoot, and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.
