Role Description

This is a full-time role for a Sales Engineer - Home Automation based in Malappuram/Kozhikode. The Sales Engineer is expected to provide technical support, develop and maintain a strong relationship with customers, and drive sales growth. This person will work closely with the Sales team to conduct product demonstrations and provide technical expertise to customers on smart home products .Experience with HDL/KNX/Bus-Pro home automation products is a plus.

candidate must have proficiency in Malayalam and English.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Electrical, Electronics or Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• 3 -6 years of Experience in Sales Engineering, Customer Service, Sales, and Communication skills.
• Responsible for home automation system design, BOQ preparation, panel and wiring planning, and site coordination with electricians and interior teams for residential automation projects.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical wiring diagrams, SLDs, and control schematics
• Experience in low-voltage control vs mains circuits & Field wiring practices (conduit, topology, earthing).
• Experience in wired & wireless automation protocols such as KNX,HDL BusPro,RS-485 / Modbus,DALI lighting control,Zigbee,ZWave,RF remote systems.
• Hands-on or presales understanding of: Lighting automation,Curtain/blind control,HVAC integration,AV & home theatre integration,Security & sensors,Smart scenes & logic programming,Mobile app & touch panel interfaces,Voice assistants (Alexa/Google).
• Preferred platform exposure: HDL Automation,Control4,Lutron,Schneider Electric,ABB
• IP networking (LAN, router, static IP),Gateways (KNX-IP, RS485-IP),Integration with CCTV
• Ability to understand complex technical systems and explain them to customers in a simple manner
• Strong problem-solving skills and a focus on providing solutions to customers
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English & Malayalam
