Position Summary

The candidate will be an engaging member of a distributed team which responsible for providing support for the Middleware services that underpin a range of LCH Post Trade systems. The successful candidate will be encouraged to have strong experience in supporting Middleware technologies such as SWIFT Alliance, CREST, IBM MQ Series, Oracle WebLogic, EPAM FIX Engine, and BMC Middleware Monitoring (BMM).

Key responsibilities of the role include providing technical support, monitoring, and maintaining their stability, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives, and working closely with technical and non-technical teams across the organization. The candidate must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be able to work well in a fast-paced, distributed team environment, and have strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

A technical background in information technology, software engineering or a related field is desirable, and relevant certifications in Middleware technologies such as IBM MQ Series, Oracle WebLogic, and EPAM FIX Engine would be an advantage.

This role offers a rewarding opportunity for an experienced Engineer, Middleware to join a dynamic and fast-paced team and make a meaningful contribution to the success of the LCH Post Trade systems.

Role Responsibilities

* Providing technical support for the Middleware services, including incident resolution and problem management as part of a 24 -7 support roster.
* Monitoring and maintaining the stability of the Middleware services, ensuring that they are performing effectively at all times.
* Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and organizational change activities, to ensure that the Middleware services remain up-to-date and relevant to the needs of the business.
* Collaborating with technical and non-technical teams across the organization, to ensure that the Middleware services are aligned with the wider business goals and objectives.
* Applying your technical expertise to resolve complex issues and ensure that the Middleware services are delivering the desired outcomes.

* Provide 1st to 3rd level support and consultancy to test and development teams in relation to Middleware supported applications. As such ensuring test environments are fit for purpose and regularly synchronized, maintained to production standards.
* Ensure that all processes and documentation are adequate and effective to meet support and audit requirements.
* Handle support queries from internal and external customers through to resolution. 

Preferred Skills and Experience

* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering or similar technical field.
* Knowledge/experience of supporting Middleware products such as SWIFT Alliance, CREST, IBM MQ Series, Oracle WebLogic, EPAM FIX Engine, and BMC Middleware Monitoring (BMM).Knowledge/experience of supporting JAVA based applications.
* Reasonable understanding of multiple financial protocols and functional usage.
* UNIX/Linux and scripting familiarity
* ITIL Foundation Certification would be an added advantage.
* Certifications in Middleware technologies such as IBM MQ Series, Oracle WebLogic, and EPAM FIX Engine would be an advantage.
