Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in SolidWorks 3D CAD modeling and drafting, with a minimum of 5 years of experience.

Additionally, as a lab monitor to ensure that all lab operations run smoothly by scheduling staff, lab inventory management, ordering supplies, maintaining health and safety protocols.

Responsibilities As CAD Engineer:

Create detailed 3D CAD models using SolidWorks software, ensuring accuracy and adherence to design specifications. Generate engineering drawings, including dimensioning and tolerancing, to communicate design intent effectively. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design engineers and project managers, to understand project requirements and develop innovative solutions. Provide technical support for prototype development, including material selection, manufacturing processes, and assembly techniques. Support in 3D Scanning Support in 3D Printing

Responsibilities As lab monitor:

Ensure Safety aspect of all lab areas Participate in EHS activities at the Candor tech space. Lab inventory management & control Warehouse inventory management Supervision of lab technician activities Lab maintenance Ordering supplies. Ensuring proper functioning of all the lab equipment Ensuring timely calibration of all the instruments Implementing 5S principles in the lab Understanding of water chemistry lab and utilization of its potential Managing the disposal of samples.

Lab Details:  

• Water Chemistry
• Microbiology
• Induction Motor testing (up to 10HP)
• Electronics/PCB development lab
• Water pump testing lab (up to 10HP)
• 3D printing and LASER scanning
• Swimming pool equipment testing

Relationships:

• Internal: Collaboration with Engineering team, Sourcing team, lab technicians, EHS officer, Warehouse
• External: R&D suppliers, 3rd party agencies for instrument calibrations, lab certifications etc.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. Minimum of 3 years of experience in CAD modeling and prototype development using SolidWorks software. Total experience to be minimum and 5 Years. Proficiency in SolidWorks, with a deep understanding of advanced modeling techniques. Exposure to plastics and castings will be added advantage. Additionally, candidate with knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing will be preferred. Knowledge of engineering principles and ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications. Experience with rapid prototyping techniques, including 3D printing & 3D scanning. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Strong communication and collaboration skills to effectively work with cross-functional teams. Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively to meet project deadlines. Experience in product design and development will be a plus. Knowledge of other CAD software, such as AutoCAD or CATIA, will be an advantage. Experience working in a water related lab would be advantageous. Proficiency in MSOffice. Good understanding of relevant regulatory standards Sound knowledge of laboratory health and safety protocols. Sound time-management and organizational skills. Good English spoken & written skills. Excellent documentation skills. Ability to multitask.
