Role Description

Engagement Manager plays a crucial role in helping clients navigate complex financial challenges and achieve their business objectives through strategic financial management and advice.

Noida/Bangalore


Responsibilities

Client Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understand their business needs, and act as a trusted advisor

Project Leadership: Lead and manage consulting projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and meet or exceed client expectations

Team Management: Oversee and mentor a team of consultants, providing guidance, feedback, and support. Delegate tasks effectively to achieve project goals

Financial Analysis: Conduct in-depth financial analysis, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling, to provide valuable insights and recommendations to clients

Strategic Planning: Assist clients in developing and implementing strategic financial plans aligned with their business objectives

Risk Management: Identify and analyze financial risks, providing recommendations for mitigating and managing these risks effectively

Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A): Lead or contribute to M&A projects, including due diligence, valuation, and post-merger integration

Business Process Improvement: Evaluate and improve financial processes and operational efficiency within client organizations

Compliance and Regulatory Advisory: Stay current with financial regulations and provide guidance to clients on compliance issues

Communication: Effectively communicate complex financial concepts and recommendations to clients and internal stakeholders

Business Development: Contribute to business development efforts by identifying new opportunities, preparing proposals, and participating in client presentations

Quality Assurance: Ensure the quality of deliverables meets or exceeds client expectations and industry standard


Qualification and Requirement

Education: Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, or a related field, preferably with advanced degree in Finance (MBA, Master's in Finance, etc)

Certifications: Professional certifications such as Chartered Accountant (CA), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), or similar may be preferred

Experience: 4-10 years of relevant experience in consulting or corporate finance, with a demonstrated track record of managing successful projects and teams

Client-Focused: Ability to engage credibly with senior management at clients on the key issues facing their respective industries, and their business more generally, and to understand their strategies

High degree of resilience and a willingness to work under extreme pressure in rapidly changing situations, as well as sometimes with significant autonomy

Ability to develop and nurture client relationships

Commercial mind-set with ability to maximise revenue opportunities

Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically to provide innovative solutions

Industry Knowledge: Familiarity of the industries worked in and good knowledge of business operations

Analytical Skills: Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills, including proficiency in financial modelling and data analysis

Strong personal impact, and comfortable dealing with senior and C suite level stakeholders

Communication Skills: Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial concepts in a clear and crisp manner

Leadership Abilities: Proven leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team to achieve project goals

Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing client needs, project requirements, and industry trends

Self-motivated and ability to work without supervision remotely

Ability to work in a dynamic environment and to turn around things quickly

Commitment and flexibility to work to tight and demanding deadline

Willingness to travel as needed
