Role Summary

The PPA Expert will be responsible for structuring, negotiating, and managing Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) for renewable and conventional energy projects. This role plays a critical part in securing long-term revenue certainty, mitigating contractual and commercial risks, and supporting the organizations energy procurement and project development strategies.


Key Responsibilities

Lead the end-to-end development, review, and negotiation of Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs).

Analyze commercial, legal, and financial terms of PPAs to ensure alignment with business objectives.

Support project development teams in structuring bankable PPAs for financing and investment purposes.

Coordinate with internal stakeholders including legal, finance, engineering, and risk teams.

Monitor contract performance, compliance, and key milestones post-execution.

Assess market trends, pricing structures, and regulatory changes impacting PPAs.


Requirements

Education & Experience

Bachelors degree in Engineering, Economics, Business, Law, or a related field.

25 years of experience in energy contracts, power markets, or renewable project development and PPAs.

Proven experience negotiating and managing PPAs (utility-scale, corporate, or merchant).

Experience working with solar, wind, storage, or hybrid energy projects is preferred.

Skills

Strong understanding of power markets, tariff structures, and energy regulations.

Excellent contract negotiation and commercial analysis skills.

Ability to interpret complex legal and financial contract terms.

Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

Proficiency in financial modeling and pricing analysis (preferred).

Structure innovative PPA solutions tailored to market and customer needs.

Identify and mitigate commercial and contractual risks associated with energy offtake.

Support financing processes by delivering bankable and compliant PPA documentation.

Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure seamless project execution from contract to operation.

Drive continuous improvement in PPA templates, negotiation strategies, and processes.
